With leadership from the strong 2021 team,
the Regional Council has made real progress in the last three years:
Air pollution is down
Bus passengers are up
City and rural water resources are being protected.
But plenty remains to be done. I urge you to vote for our full team to keep the progress going.
Water
We’ve taken firm action to safeguard supplies and protect water quality:
more resources for water management
irrigators and major users required to meet costs
600 irrigation consents under review
major restoration programme for lowland streams.
