Tracey Dorreen for Shirley Papanui Community Board
I am is a strong advocate for public transport, cycleways, safer streets, better lighting, accessible and affordable housing for all, equitable community facilities, and improvements to our deteriorating footpaths. I believe that people matter more than money and believe in a fair distribution of our rates throughout the Shirley-Papanui ward. Married with three delightful school-age daughters, I want to ensure that parks and recreational facilities are safe for our children.
I am a woman who has built up considerable community service over several years, and my wish is to continue in this role as a Christchurch 2021 member of the Shirley-Papanui Community Board. I am currently a member of the National Council of Women and have been previously involved with the local Plunket committee. I won't make promises that I can't keep. It is time for us to listen to you and help in whatever way we can.
I have a sense of humour and am hardworking, reliable, conscientious, committed to serving my local community to the best of my knowledge and ability. I am a solutions-orientated person who believes a team approach is the best way forward in our community.
