Tahu Potiki Stirling for Spreydon Heathcote Community Board
Every morning I wake up and think about the kind of world that I want to leave for my children and grandchildren. This is the passion that drives me to become a Community Board member and with your help, and the help of Christchurch 2021 colleagues, I am committed to:
promoting healthy homes and a healthy city;
supporting worthwhile projects for our youth;
respecting and valuing the diversity of our community;
supporting and promoting sustainable methods of transport ie cycleways, clean public transport;
creating and maintaining a clean and safe city.
Most of my life I have lived and cycled in South Christchurch and for over 20 years I have worked in the community developing projects like the Maori Sports & Health Festival, the Youth Work Training Forum and I was a founding member of TAHU FM 90.5. Presently I work in the Cardio/ Respiratory Outreach team at the Christchurch Public Hospital where I consider it a privilege to assist patients in their life's journey.
I believe that Christchurch is the best city in New Zealand and I am committed to enhancing the environment and safety of the Spreydon/Heathcote area for the betterment of future generations.
